Are “wellness” peptides like BPC-157 safe?

Peptides are not one category. Collagen and food-derived peptides are well studied and low-risk. The injectable “wellness” peptides marketed on social media are a different matter entirely.

BPC-157 is not approved by regulators such as the FDA, and the human evidence behind it is thin. Products sold online are also unregulated, so purity and actual content are unknowns you cannot verify.

If you are considering any specific peptide protocol, that conversation belongs with a clinician who can weigh it against your full health picture — the hype is currently far ahead of the science.

Emerge is a wellness app, not a medical device or a substitute for professional care. It does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
